Meet Twin Cities Equine LLP, behind the scenes.

Where should I begin? Twin Cities Equine LLP is based out of Bloomington, MN and serves the surrounding Twin Cities area, as well as the US and Canada thanks to shipping carriers like USPS and UPS. Our current focus is on the bakery with delicious horse treats for sale, but the future holds many possibilities for expansion!

The owners, Bryce and Amie Austin, met at the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana. We will be celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary in June 2008. Our 5-year anniversary was spent together at our first Horse camp, and our summers have been full of camping and equine activities ever since!

Bryce and Amie in Montana

Amie grew up on a farm in a small town south of Springfield, IL. Corn and soybeans are the primary crops in that area, but my mom and I both were born with the horse-crazy bug. There was always at least one horse on the farm for trail riding - Saddlebred, Arab, Morab, and of course a Shetland pony to teach us kids how to ride (he knocked the wind out of me more times than I could count, but I still loved him!) In March of 2001 Amie bought her first horse, a registered Quarter Horse with the barn name of Cody. He has been patient, willing, and always ready to teach me more. Together we compete in Competitive Mounted Orienteering (CMO), as well as trail riding and trying our hand at team penning. We look forward to a lot of time together and trying many new and exciting things.

Bryce grew up near Rockford, IL and has a strong aptitude for the technical world. He started his own computer-servicing company for small businesses and personal users when he was in high school and continued with a couple of long-term (and long-distance) clients through graduate school. Good help is hard to find, and a handful of clients were willing to ship their computers from Rockford, IL to San Diego, CA where Bryce was attending graduate school. When he isn't working, Bryce enjoys working on his car, camping, and horseback riding.  If you see him out on the horse trails - he'll be the guy using a GPS and looking for Geo-caches!
